This week I had the honor to speak to Selen Demir; listen to all podcasts tomorrow at 11 AM EST. Selen Demir is a Computer Engineer currently working at Akbank as an Android Developer. Akbank is a local bank in Turkey. Outside of work, she enjoys improving her business knowledge with certificates from Google, the European Business School of Luxembourg, and Girl with Impact. She also enjoys volunteering with several global communities. One of them is Women in Tech Netherlands. Where her title is Digital Education & Literacy Director, and She is responsible for organizing this year's role model masterclass.
She is also part of Women Who Code, where she volunteers for their Mobile Track. To top it all up, she is also a #IamRemarkable facilitator, doing #IamRemarkable sessions with them for every new educational path.

When I was in college, I had a startup called Frise. Frise was a mobile app available in Android and the App store. In Frise, you can enter what you have in your fridge, which suggests what meal you can make with those ingredients. We attended several incubators—one of them with Startup Wise Guys. So I'm proud of myself for doing all of it, not in my native language then. In addition, I had a website where I interviewed people who are working as developers from around the world. I also have an Instagram account where I share my startup's journey and my studies to inspire other women in tech. I recently opened a new account to share what I do daily. My account name is growithselena.
