This week I had the honor to speak to Mercy Mutuku; you can watch the entire interview on YoutTube, or listen to all podcasts. Mercy is a Senior Engineer and Data Scientist. She has an educational background in Aeronautical Engineering and Data Science. She has been working in the automotive industry for about seven years now. She loves innovating and enjoys solving problems and serving. She’s happily married to one very handsome man.
As a senior product engineer and data scientist with extensive experience in automotive product development and manufacturing, project/program management, problem-solving, and leadership, Mercy has a strong background and interest in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Computer Programming, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Data Analysis, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and Aerodynamics. All in all, she enjoys loving God and people, solving problems, discovering new things, and serving my community.
From Mercy’s own words -
I remember looking out the window or just running outside to stare at the planes that flew over our school. My classmates would even call out my name every time that extraordinary boom was heard approaching. I wrote down my dreams, and one of them was to study aeronautical engineering at the famous Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. I applied to various schools in the US, and I got accepted to Embry Riddle. However, Western Michigan University offered me a better scholarship, and since they have an excellent aerospace program too, I chose it.
